After hearing of Lee Harrison's death from Dick Shoup, I contacted Marilou Harrison with my condolences, and also to let her know about the Scanimate Files. Part of her reply appears below:
"I would be more than happy to do anything I can to help you with your project. What a delight it is to know that there are still people using Lee's dream machines. Although he tried to involve himself in lots of other ideas and projects, animation remained his first and primary love.Marilou graciously sent the following images for inclusion in the Scanimate Files.A Memorial Bar-be-que and Celebration of Lee's Life will be held in our backyard in Denver on July 5th - probably late afternoon. I will send you details as decisions are made. Any who knew him or who would like to join us for the occasion would be welcome. - Marilou Harrison"

For me, my dad was not just my father but we were friends. Apparently I'm
not the only one who believed in him strongly. I remember that towards the
end of Computer Image's life there were people who would still come to work
even though they knew that my father could not pay them. For two years he
went without a paycheck but I never knew. He always provided for us.
Well, if there is anything that I can do to fill you in about him please
let me know.

Lee's son Paul sent the following:
Dave,
I checked out your scanimate site. Looks great. I only wish that my dad
would have taken a look at it. He was just learning about surfing the web.
Mostly he was educating himself as to his condition. It was rather amazing,
for the more he knew the better he seemed to be about the situation. He had
an insatiable thirst for knowledge. One of his many legacies is his
notebooks. My mother has most them and, hopefully, someone will want to
look at them.
